Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Difference between InJet 25 and InJet One?
InJet 25 provides a solid amount of occupied flight time with guaranteed availability and no additional costs, while InJet One gives you the ability to purchase on-demand charter on a trip-by-trip basis in the InJet network of aircrafts.
Why the InJet 25 Card Program?
The InJet 25 Card program is the only CFO approved, cost effective alternative to whole aircraft ownership, fractional aircraft ownership and expensive, restrictive, cookie-cutter card programs. With the InJet 25 Card, you get guaranteed flight hours and the Round-Trip Efficiency Bonus while paying a competitive hourly rate, which is deducted from your card balance.
What are Occupied Flight Hours?
An Occupied Flight Hour is the actual time the aircraft is in the air, plus 12 minutes for taxi, take off and landing. With InJet 25, you’re free from aircraft positioning charges, wait time, landing fees, overnight charges, and InJet 25 only deducts Occupied Flight Hours from your program. You pay only for the time you occupy the aircraft.
What is the Round-Trip Efficiency Bonus?
Flights that qualify for Round-Trip Efficiency Bonus discounts are billed for the entire flight time (plus the standard 12 minutes per leg for taxi and takeoff), and multiplied by the corresponding round trip rate allocated to the program purchased. This means that for the purchase price of your InJet 25 Card, you could actually fly for over 30 hours! That’s exactly why your CFO will love the InJet 25 Card Program. Or, don’t tell them and, instead, use those extra 5 hours for a family vacation.
What makes the InJet 25 Card Program different from whole aircraft ownership?
With whole aircraft ownership, you’re responsible for the purchase of the aircraft, hiring flight crews and mechanics to maintain your aircraft, annual FAA required aircraft maintenance checks, and acquiring hangar space in which to keep your aircraft. Add that to the hourly costs when flying your aircraft for fuel and incidentals, including hotel and meal expenses for your flight crew. But with InJet 25, there’s no ownership, and no worries.
Why Is InJet 25 different from other Jet Card programs?
Most other Jet Cards have either the high cost overhead of fractional ownership built into the hourly rate of the aircraft, or are just a glorified debit account to prepay your aircraft charter use. InJet 25 is a hybrid solution, giving you the tangibility of guaranteed occupied hourly rates coupled with the cost effectiveness of on-demand charter without the high overhead of aircraft ownership. Hence, why InJet 25 is CFO approved.
What makes the InJet 25 Card Program different from fractional aircraft ownership?
With fractional aircraft ownership, you’re responsible for the purchase of a fractional share of the aircraft. You’ll pay a monthly management fee to cover the cost of flight crews, maintenance and hangar space for your share, and additionally pay an hourly rate when you fly on your aircraft. All while watching the value of your aircraft decrease over the length of your contract. With InJet, there’s no long term contract, and no need to deal with the complications of fractional ownership.
I already own a share of an airplane in a fractional program. How would InJet benefit me?
Many fractional programs do not allow for simultaneous use (using more than one aircraft in the same day). That’s why intelligent owners provide for supplemental lift with an InJet 25 Card. When you’re an InJet 25 Card Member, you can use your fractional share for your trip to visit the Illinois plant while using your InJet 25 Card on the same day to send your sales team to meet with a client in Texas.
What is the Geographical service area for InJet 25?
- The Primary coverage area for all InJet flights includes the contiguous US, the Bahamas or any Caribbean ICAO identifiers that begin with the letter "M" (i.e. Nassau=MYNN), the Northern Peninsula of Mexico and any point up to 200 nautical miles from the US border into Mexico and Canada.
- The Extended coverage area includes Hawaii, Alaska (up to Anchorage), and any Caribbean Island ICAO identifier beginning with the letter "T" (ie. St. Maarten=TNCM). Flights to and from the contiguous US to the extended coverage area will be subject to a repositioning charge to the nearest port of entry at the lowest direct hourly cost for the current aircraft type, plus 12 minutes.
How much notice is necessary to schedule my trip?
It is recommended that as an InJet Card Member, you make your request as early as possible for your upcoming travel. However, we can initiate your request with as little as 8 hours notice.
What if I need more than one aircraft in a day?
Simultaneous use is not a problem at InJet. If you need to attend a meeting in Dallas and the CFO needs to go New York, you can schedule both trips for the same day. And if the sales team also needs to fly to Milwaukee, InJet can get them there on time.
What if I schedule my trip and then need to make an extra stop to visit a key customer along the way?
We understand that every trip is unique and itineraries change according to your busy schedule. Just let us know what you need, and we can make any adjustments provided that they fall within FAA regulations concerning flight crew rest and duty time.
What makes the InJet 25 Card Program different from charter?
The InJet 25 Card provides a guaranteed hourly rate and an 8-hour or less response time with no additional costs for repositioning, standard landing fees or catering. However, with ad-hoc charter you can never be guaranteed availability or pricing as it fluctuates depending on aircraft availability and positioning. InJet 25 is tangible and gives your CFO "hard" numbers.
Are there any blackout periods for Holidays or Peak Travel days?
Unlike some other card programs, with the InJet 25 Card there are no black out days, and for InJet Card Members wishing to travel during peak travel times, there is no limited availability. However, for flights during peak travel periods and destinations, 10 day advance notice is required. Peak Travel dates and destination summaries are provided in written notice to members.
What aircraft are available in the InJet 25 Card Program?
You may purchase an InJet 25 Card in a Light, Mid-Size or Large cabin aircraft depending upon your travel requirements. Our network of corporate aircraft range from a light jet such as a Citation Jet, Lear 31A or Beechjet, all the way up to large cabin, long range aircraft like a Gulfstream V or a Global Express and anything in between.
Which size aircraft is best for me?
An InJet representative will assist you in determining the right aircraft for you, taking into consideration the normal stage length of your trips and the usual number of passengers. A light jet normally accommodates 5-6 passengers on a trip of 1,000-1,200 statute miles. A mid-size jet is the right choice for 7-8 passengers on a trip of 2,200-2,700 statute miles, while a large cabin jet will normally accommodate 10-14 passengers on a 5,000-7,200 mile trip.
What if I purchase an InJet 25 Mid-Size Card but need to take a large group to a sales conference?
Whenever it’s necessary, you may always request an upgrade to a larger aircraft or a downgrade to a smaller aircraft. With our Aircraft Interchange Conversion Ratio chart, you pay only for the size aircraft that you actually use. For example, if you purchase an InJet 25 hour card in a Mid-size jet but only need the use of a Light Jet for a specific trip, you would pay a conversion rate of 0.8 of the Mid-size hourly rate. If you purchased an InJet 25 hour card in a Light Jet but needed a Mid-size jet for a particular mission, you would pay a conversion rate of 1.4 of the Light Jet rate. Interchanges are available whenever you need them. The InJet 25 Card Program is designed to be flexible and convenient to suit the needs of your specific mission.
I bought the InJet 25 Card, I’m now a member and need to take a flight. What do I do next?
All you need to do is call and tell us where and when you’d like to be picked up, where you need to go, and we’ll do the rest. We’ll attend to all of the details so that you can fully concentrate on your business.
I'm still not sure that I want to make the investment in the InJet 25 Card.
InJet is the only card program that offers you the "Touch 10" card, which gives you the opportunity to try out your wings for 10 hours of flying before making the commitment to purchase the InJet 25 Card. And with the "Touch 10" card, you can upgrade at any time and roll your remaining hours into a 25, 50 or 100 hour card, taking advantage of those lower hourly rates.
